Lost 08:10
(Lyrics: Belinda Kordic) I see you and the damaged done we are but lost humans  I see you what have we become we are but lost humans Set in motion the great fall Such devotion to annihilate all You don’t care for much just not wise enough To heed the call We are lost as humans As everything fades by your touch turning into dust The dangerous nature of an ignorant mind the final fall for mankind You don’t seem to care for much  You’re just not wise enough To heed the call We are lost as humans Nature is calling Heed it’s warning The future is fading Apocalypse in the making The bells are ringing You have failed them future generations  Failed Bells are ringing bells are ringing We are we are we are we are lost We are we are lost as humans We are we are we are lost

In The Night 08:38
(lyrics: Belinda Kordic) When all but sadness is by your side go pull the curtain, pull back the curtains Yesterdays gone tomorrow may never come Ride out this darkness and await the rising sun Sad days ahead moves us over the edge Wounds heal wounds mend  Shine bright As we learn how to walk We have to learn how to let go Bruised hearts battered broken souls Sad days ahead  donʼt let them push you over the edge  Shine shine bright Alls gonna be alright It doesn’t have to end  Wounds heal cuts mend  Live to fight another day Fight to live day by day Live to fight another day

Cry Of Love 05:46
CRY OF LOVE Dig deep in my skull Help me find What I lost I cut off the last piece that was soft I found it in you I sought it in us Every day since you’re gone I can see it corrupt Time hardened my heart It was cold from the start Gave myself at all costs Now my tenderness is lost My tenderness is lost You’re here in my mind Your warmth at my side I still feel your loss In the night in the night I hear your cry of love No one can steal it away Time is a cruel enemy When it’s too late I see your eyes of love No one can turn them away Time is a bitter enemy When it’s too late I feel your touch of love No one can pull it away Time is my true enemy When it’s too late I hear your cry of love No one can steal it away My tenderness is lost

Lyrics: Jonathan Hultén Here we stand Under the sun And the world, our home Keeps to spin around And our days pass us by Like street lights In the night It’s ok to be afraid Time and time again We lose our way We are one Never alone But ever so lonely In our private little shells we hide Scared, we're imprisoned in our bubbles Captives of our own fear Despaired in the dark Oh how I’m longing to feel free again I sing as I’m walking through the night There you are Gazing at the stars Seeing how small we are Wondrous as it seems Here and now We are alive as eternity blinks an eye Right now Somewhere in space In the Milky Way There, below the sun We are dancing in a feeting moment’s grace In this short time we share We are one All of the Earth Deep down we all know At our cores we are of the same one whole And our spirits are its nature It’s life that is blooming And there is no doubt That all is love Love is all

about

Lanterns will be lit, spells and incantations shall be spoken. The new “special” mini-album shall be upon you soon.
476 years in the making, 7 new recorded songs. 5 very spooky guests and the band is still undead as ever.

Ellengæst, a strong spirit? a mischievous demon? Or both? It is definitely both that represents the unbreakable nature of CBP. Back with this recording, acting as an interim release between the full-length album cycle. The songs presented here are shining a light on the schizophrenic nature of the human condition, both inward and outward looking.

This time, the core of CBP (Justin Greaves, Belinda Kordic, Helen Stanley & Andy Taylor…) are joined by some close friends to lend their twisted talents of voices to the music. “House Of Fools” features Vincent Cavanagh (Anathema) and he also backs up Belinda on “Lost”. Along with Belinda as a “duet” on the song “In The Night” is Gaahl (Gaahls WYRD). Next up is Ryan Patterson (Fotocrime, Coliseum, bass player for CBP on the Great Escape Tour) on “Cry Of Love” also joined by Suzie Stapleton on back up vocals. “The Invisible Past” is vocalised by Jonathan Hulten (Tribulation, Solo).
These fantastic ghouls were the perfect match for each of the songs they sing on, not so much chosen, these good brothers and sister of the universal vigilante order (UVO) all fell into the conception of the album. Formed by history and a connection in their own individual way, they are perfect characters in the latest chapter of the epic CBP story.

Also included on this mini-album are two cover versions, “Everything I Say” originally by the genius troubadour Vic Chesnutt. And “She’s In Parties” by Bauhaus.

The red thread on Ellengæst is a reflective one, asking how we got to where we are and what demons dictate our paths, what injustices are left un-noticed and the inner battles we need to fight constantly. This recording is a strong and definite sign of the “no surrender” ethos of CBP, Ellengæst is an untouchable volley across the bow of the pretenders.
